My Work
Projects in which I have worked as a Ux. You will know the challenges, the methodology and the process that we use to design solutions aligned with the expectations of the user and the company.
Financial superintendence project
About
The Financial Superintendence of Colombia is the entity that is in charge of regulating the economy of Colombia as well as to supervise all the companies that participate in the Colombian stock market.
The problem
Simev, is a Financial Superintendence platform that unifies the colombian stock market information. Today, the información is outdated and doesn’t fit with new users needs.
The team
A well-versed team, consisting of professional and experienced product managers, researchers, product designers, developers, and stakeholders.
The methodology
Following the Design Thinking and Lean Start up approaches, we developed a plan which is divided into three stages:
1.
Understand
Research
We want to understand the actual product, who is our user, clarify uncover user pain points, expectations and insights. We’re interested in the context of report and consult stock market information. we’ve focused on analyzing the current state of the platform, known the current experience, and build solutions together. We decide to use both qualitative and quantitative research with a survey, workshops, card sorting and user interviews.
Workshops
Goal: Known and explore the stock market context and ecosystem thought different users view (Investors, companies and citizens), meet the current platform experience and build together future experiences.
Card sorting
Goal: Understand how our users think and how they organize information into categories.
Results: At the end of the study, we analyse the groups and the categories created by the participants and organice and define the new categories based on it.
2.
Design
After understanding the problem, uncover user pain points, expectations and insights, and clarifying the business goals, it’s time to bring the insights and discoveries to the table and start the ideation stage! One of the most significants parts of this stage, was the awareness of the importance of a design system, and understanding the benefits in time and effort the team could have if we created one.
3.
Implement
With the design and concept complete, the requirements clear, it’s time to hand over the project to the development team. The most challenging and important thing of this stage, was to communicate the best way possible the concept to the development team.
